Wound Care

Part of the wound care process is dressing removal, which can be distressing and painful for patients. Removing adhesive dressings or medical adhesives often damages and irritates already tender skin. Elderly or fragile skin (such as that of babies) is particularly at risk. When healing tissue is damaged or peri-wound skin is stripped, healing time can be extended and skin can lose its barrier function, resulting in increased pain and a higher risk of infection.

Because the products are silicone based (rather than alcohol based), they will not damage or sting vulnerable or sore skin.
