Having a stoma, especially a new one, can cause great upheaval and stress. You will probably have to make some adjustments to your daily life with regards to food and social activities. At first these adjustments will probably be unpleasant and it might seem as though things will never get back to normal. However, with time and practice you will become used to your new way of life.
